The Management and Economics Society (MES) hosts events that provide a forum for industry professionals to share experiences, insights and ideas on topics relating to the economic, management and financial aspects of the mining and energy business. In addition to technical sessions at the annual CIM Conference & Exhibition, MES holds symposia and discussion groups. These educational offerings have provided information on topical issues facing these industries within the fields of economics, finance and management. MES uses its donations and profits generated from these symposiums for various educational initiatives, including the support of supplemental educational programs in Canadian universities on topics related to the mining and energy business.
