who will deliver an online presentation entitled:
The Development of the World-Class Canadian Malartic Gold Mine
Abstract: The presentation will cover the approach and challenges faced in the development of the Canadian Malartic Gold Mine in the prolific Malartic Gold camp by Osisko Mining Corporation. The review will discuss the vision of Osisko’s Founders – Sean Roosen, John Burzynski and Robert Wares, the challenges in relocating 20% of the residents of Malartic and several institutions, securing the license to develop/operate, and obtaining the necessary capital to fund the $1 billion expenditures in a period following the 2007-2008 global financial crisis. The successful development of Canadian Malartic has led to the establishment of other low-grade/ large tonnage operations in Canada.
